The Western Los Angeles County Council, Boy Scouts of America honors Baseball Hall of Fame Broadcaster Jaime Jarrín and Los Angeles City Council President Paul Krekorian with Americanism Award
[Los Angeles, CA] – The Western Los Angeles County Council, Boy Scouts of America is proud to announce the prestigious Americanism Award Dinner to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 6:30 PM at the Hilton Universal. This momentous event will be a celebration honoring Jaime Jarrin and Councilman Paul Krekorian, both of whom have made significant contributions to Los Angeles and exemplify the true spirit of Scouting. The Americanism Award Dinner is a cherished tradition of recognizing exceptional leaders who have left an indelible mark on our society. This year, we are privileged to honor these two distinguished individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving Los Angeles.
Jaime Jarrín, the beloved Baseball Hall of Fame Broadcaster, is renowned for his unparalleled passion and artistry in bringing the game of baseball to life for Dodgers fans across the nation. Throughout his illustrious career, Jaime has been not only a trailblazer in sports broadcasting but also an ardent supporter of numerous charitable causes, uplifting the lives of countless individuals. Paul Krekorian, the President of the Los Angeles City Council, has been a tenacious advocate for the communities of his East San Fernando Valley district, and a visionary leader for the City as a whole. His achievements on behalf of youth, education, and the environment extend from his presidency of the Burbank School Board, through his service as a State Assemblymember, to his decade of chairing the Los Angeles City Council’s Budget and Finance Committee, where he restored funding to the City’s parks and recreational programs, including its affordable childcare centers.
