Alec Contestabile

Alec Contestabile is an Eagle Scout and Production Designer for television series, films, commercials and music videos. He achieved the rank of Eagle in 2007 from Troop 603 in Mission Viejo with an Eagle project that gave a much-needed remodel to his high school’s band room. He also worked at as a Ranger at Camp Emerald Bay from 2003-2007.

Alec Contestabile

With lessons learned in leadership and design through scouting, Alec has worked in the art departments of Mad Men (Did you see the 1968 emerald bay patch on the Mad Men set?), Feud: Bette and Joan and The Amazing Spider-Man. Notable design work includes commercials for Google, Fox Sports, and the 2020 Planters Super Bowl ad, along with iconic music videos for artists including Kendrick Lamar, Camila Cabello, and The Weekend. Most recently, Alec’s work designing the Showtime series Black Monday was featured in Architectural Digest.

Alec continues to volunteer his time to scouting. He designed the 2008, 2009, and 2021 camp patch for Emerald Bay (featuring the camp’s first woman pirate) and was an instructor for the 2020 season of Tri-Camp.
